J’ai rencontré Catherine Cruchon à un événement de Vaud Promotion, il y a deux ans. Nous avons parlé de durabilité de manière générale. Puis, elle a évoqué cette idée de réutilisation des bouteilles de vin. C’était encore les prémisses de Bottle Back.
C’est quoi Swiss House of Brands?
Un cabinet stratégique, certifié B-Corp, qui accompagne les entreprises dans leur transformation digitale et/ou durable en utilisant la marque – seul élément transversal de toute organisation – comme moteur de transition. Aujourd’hui, conseiller stratégiquement les entreprises sans intégrer la durabilité n’est pas imaginable.

Qu’est-ce qui vous a motivé à nous suivre?
Au sein de Swiss House of Brands, nous avons toujours considéré qu’une partie de notre chiffre d’affaire devait être consacré à un engagement social ou durable, qu’on traduisait en suivis pro-bono. Après ma rencontre avec Catherine, j’ai commencé à observer de près ses activités pour mieux comprendre son travail. J’ai été séduite par son engagement en matière d’écologie. C’est une femme inspirée et inspirante. Elle ne se contente pas de parler, elle agit. Et elle a su, avec Laura, s’entourer de personnes tout aussi engagées pour mettre en place Bottle Back. Sérieux et pertinent, ce projet a toutes les qualités pour s’élever à un niveau national. Swiss House of Brands est prêt à faire le nécessaire pour l’accompagner vers cette transition.

Où voyez-vous le sens de Bottle Back?
Sur trois points: d’abord, pour diminuer l’empreinte carbone de l’industrie du vin qui représente un pan important de notre économie. Ensuite pour préserver nos ressources en sable, qui vont dangereusement se raréfier, ce qui entrainera une hausse du prix du verre. Et puis, c’est une préoccupation qui touche aussi les pays limitrophes. L’Allemagne, par exemple, a une longueur d’avance sur la réutilisation des bouteilles en verre. L’Autriche s’y met aussi. Pourquoi pas la Suisse?
Le fait que la démarche vienne de plusieurs vignerons concurrents est-il important?
Oui, vraiment. Je crois que les démarches solides en matière de durabilité doivent passer par un effort collectif: la mobilisation citoyenne d’un côté, l’engagement des institutions de l’autre. Les solutions d’avenir doivent être créatives et innovantes au moins, régénératives au mieux.
